Tribunj is a small fishing town on the coast about 3 km north-west of Vodice. Its old centre, known in the Middle Ages as Jurjevgrad, sits on a small islet joined to the mainland by an old stone bridge.
Why visit
The old town is a few lanes of stone houses around a tiny harbour, with cafés on the waterfront. It is quieter than Vodice but close enough for its restaurants and nightlife.
Every summer Tribunj holds its traditional donkey race, a lively local festival. Boat trips to the Kornati and Krka National Park are easy to arrange from Tribunj and nearby Vodice.
Where to stay
Stay near the old town for atmosphere, or along the coast for beaches. Vodice, a short drive away, has more hotels and restaurants.
Getting there and around
Tribunj is on the coastal road between Vodice and Srima, about 15 minutes by car from Šibenik. Buses run along the coast.
Parking
Parking near the old town is limited in summer. Park on the mainland side and walk across the bridge.
