Main highlights

Sandy beach, cliffs, sea caves

Golden Bay – Zlatna uvala in Croatian, also known as Velo Čelo – is a small cove of fine sand beneath steep cliffs on the south-west coast of Krk, near Stara Baška.

Why go

Because there is no road or path down the cliffs, the beach stays quiet even in summer. The water is very clear, and there are two small caves in the rock. There are no facilities, so bring water and shade.

Getting there and around

You cannot reach Golden Bay on foot. In summer, boat trips leave from Punat and Krk Town, or you can rent a small boat in Punat.

Frequently asked questions
