Main highlights

Haludovo beach, harbour promenade, family beaches

Malinska is a resort town on the north-west coast of Krk, looking across the sea towards Rijeka and the Učka mountain. Its harbour, seafront promenade and long string of beaches make it one of the most popular family destinations on the island.

Why visit

The beaches run along the coast in both directions from the harbour. Haludovo stretches for about 500 m under pine trees, while Rupa near the centre and Draga suit small children with their easy entry into the sea.

Behind the coast lie the villages of the Dubašnica area, with old churches and olive groves – good for a short drive or bike ride away from the beach.

Where to stay

Stay near the harbour for restaurants and the promenade, or near Haludovo and the pine-shaded beaches for a quieter holiday.

Getting there and around

Malinska is about 20 minutes by car from the Krk Bridge and about 15 minutes from Krk Town. Rijeka Airport is on the island, near Omišalj.

Parking

Parking near the harbour and the main beaches is paid and busy in July and August.
