Main highlights

View over Zlatni Rat, Hvar and Vis, hiking trails

Vidova Gora, at 778 m, is the highest point on Brač and on all the Adriatic islands. From the viewpoint near the summit you look straight down to Bol and the pebble spit of Zlatni Rat, with Hvar, Vis and Pelješac across the sea.

Why go

The view is the reason to go: on a clear day the islands of central Dalmatia spread out below you. Come early in the morning or towards sunset for the best light, and bring a layer – it is often windy and cooler at the top.

Getting there and around

An asphalt road leads up from the island’s interior, so you can drive almost to the top. Marked hiking trails also climb from Bol – a demanding hike on hot days, so start early and carry plenty of water.
